I was really looking forward to recieving this book as I thought it might hold some answers to some questions I had regarding weight loss, especially as a person with hypothyroidism. It provides a diet plan, but the plan requires purchasing the products that are not that easy to get. I would say that if you want a book that will inform you on raw dieting, this one is not the best. The book is very small and really just an advertisement for the raw crunch products. I don’t believe I gained much insight with this one. I would not recommend it to anyone.
2 Stars Like an oversize advertising pamphlet…
If you wish to do Kathy Feldman’s raw food crunch diet, then you’ll want to buy this book in conjunction with all of her many products you’ll need, because this book is basically a 100-page pamphlet (it’s also only about 5×7″-greeting card size) promoting her diet. The diet itself consists of having a green powder supplement with 6 oz. of juice in the morning. This is followed by as much fruit as you can eat all morning, one of her 150-calorie raw food crunch bars, followed by a hearty salad with a whole avocado for lunch. Then, another raw food crunch bar. Then, she says you can eat anything you want for dinner (within reason). Well, I tried this diet, eating a relatively healthy vegetarian meal for dinner, and didn’t lose weight, but others might have better luck than myself. I think she is sincere, but if you are interested in raw foods, this isn’t much of a guide. It is like I said-a promotion for her products, which include raw crunch bars, vitamineral green powder and her workout tape. One last thought; she gives you no information about your dinner meal other than to say you can have a meal of your choice. Well, if that meal winds up being 700-1800 calories (not uncommon for a restaurant meal), it is unlikely that you will lose.

A great book for those looking to get started on a healthy diet. This diet may not appeal to those looking for a complex multi-step diet, but it’s simplicity is the reason that I was able to find success and get my eating under control. Yes the book does mention the bars several times, but they are called Raw Crunch bars and the book is named “The Raw Crunch Diet”! They are kind of important! She also tells you to just substitute any bar you like for them (although I have yet to find a raw bar that can compare).

This book is more of an advertisement for Kathy Feldman’s crunch bars than a book on raw diets. I would not recommend spending your money on this one.
5 Stars A diet for life that actually works!
I first read Kathy’s book THE RAW CRUNCH DIET several years ago when I first ordered her incredible Raw Crunch Bars Organic Blueberry Raw Crunch Bars (Box of 12 Bars). This book’s sub title reads, “Strengthening your Body from the Inside-Out,” and that’s exactly what Kathy tells you how to do. Her knowledge of nutrition, exercise, and cellular biology comes across the pages of this book in clear, no nonsense, easy to understand terminology. Kathy’s “voice” as an author makes you feel she is speaking directly to you, sharing her expertise and knowledge with you to help you reach your health and fitness goals. Kathy’s diet plan, like most things which “ring” with the sound of truth, is incredibly simple and straightforward. Her book tells you how to eat for life. Following her diet plan will make you incredibly healthy. Everything else just flows from there.
