Fasting For The Cure of Diseases
Fasting For The Cure of Diseases

Appetite is Craving; Hunger is Desire. Craving is never satisfied; but Desire is relieved when Want is Supplied. Eating without Hunger, or pandering to Appetite at the expense of Digestion, makes Disease inevitable. Relieving physical illness by voluntary withholding food is based upon the logical conclusion of the argument herein that, no matter what are the various names attached to the forms in which disease is manifested, there is but one cause for all of its outward and inward signs. The sole source of bodily ills is impure blood. The cause of impure blood is imperfect digestion. Fasting is defined as follows: The voluntary denial of food to a system, which is diseased, and which, because of disease, does not require nourishment until rested, cleansed, and eager again to take up the labor of digestion. Then, and not till then, is food supplied; then, and not till then, does starvation begin.
