User Ratings and Reviews

1 Stars Colassol waste of money, deceptive title

This is not a raw food book, let alone a detox book. There are probably more cooked recipes in here than raw. I hate this book and the fact that I bought it. This woman is using a title that has nothing to do with the content of her book to make money. Further, the book is useless unhealthy garbage. Even the raw recipes are awful- 5 teaspoons of honey with almond butter on one romaine leaf? I can’t wait to get rid of it, as everytime I look at it I am reminded of being ripped off by a product that is stupid. Don’t buy it!

5 Stars Wonderful!
This is a great book for anyone who wants to incorporate raw foods into their diet. Great tips and easy recipes that anyone can follow. Also provides encouragement to those who aren’t quite ready to let go of ‘cooked foods’. I had actually check this out from the library to make sure I liked it before I bought it…I have done this with several raw foods books and this was, by far, the best one for the stage I am in…definitely worth purchasing!!

1 Stars Beware! Dangerous and Life threathening advice given in this book.
I was excited to receive this book, however after only a few chapters it stopped making sense. I got so upset by the dangerous advice given in this book I had to write this review. The author writes about a Level 1 diet where the dieter will have only watermelon in a 5 hour window. This to me sounds like extreme dieting, rather than a healthy way of eating. The author does not believe adults stomachs can handle cow’s milk, yet suggests goat milk mixed with water for an infant when mommy is busy, just because she believes formula is toxic. Can you say cuckoo? If formula was so bad babies wouldn’t thrive on it, as they do. She also advocates UN-pasteurized goat milk. This is dangerous and a recipe for disaster! And please stay away from colonics/enemas, the body know how to do its own cleaning, inserting foreign objects in your body will do more harm than good and could cause infections. People who believe they were re-born or whatever simply because they had a colonic are dellusional and mentally unstable. Look at the author, does she look healthy? Not one bit. She looks like a pale skeleton! I would give this book zero stars if I could and it’s going back asap. I agree with another reviewer that this book is for crazy people. PLEASE stay away from this book or life threathing conditions will follow. AND please please whatever you do, dont risk your babys life by giving goatmilk or forcing a raw food diet upon them. Let kids be kids.

2 Stars Disheartening for newbies
I purchased this book the same week I was learning (and very excited about) “green smoothies.” I was anxious to learn more about incorporating the “raw food diet” and believed this book would help in that transition. In reality though, the food combining information completely confused me and discouraged me from this way of eating. In addition, the author states multiple times that one should never eat fruit with any other type of food, so now my green smoothies were no longer looking so great. I am looking elsewhere for information to get started on a raw diet with simpler explanations and no strict rules about what to eat at what time of day, etc. - much better for a newbie like me.

5 Stars Best book for fruit/veggie lovers!
I always buy things on Amazon and I NEVER write reviews. I love this book so much I decided it was worth the time and effort just to let people know what a great book it is.

This book changed the way I think about food. All those diets that tell you to stay away from fruits and carbs are WRONG! I have never been “overweight,” I just wanted to eat healthier and hopefully lose a couple inches. I am 5″5′, went from 132 pounds to 120 in about a month on the Level 3 diet. It was amazing! And what I loved most about it was, I could still drink my oh-so-important coffee in the morning, just without the milk. I’ve done other detox diets, but they were all missing key points. The food combining is very important. Also, this book might not be hard core raw, but Natalia understands that most people don’t have the time and willpower to stick to a rigid diet like that. This is a diet that is totally within reason and doesn’t make you feel guilty if you “cheat” once in a while. I hate this cliche, but it’s not a diet, it’s a lifestyle.

Now that being said… this diet is not easy. You will have to give up some foods and let go of they way you think about certain foods (like carbs being bad), but it’s worth it! I still have the “Green Lemonade” every morning and eat raw until a healthy cooked dinner and I feel the best I have ever felt in my whole life. If you go on this diet, about 3 or 4 days in, you will feel light, happy, and slim. Exercising is easier for me and I sleep better at night. And there’s no way you couldn’t lose weight, just give it a try for a month!
